Affordances:

  • User friendly, easy to add, edit, and delete pictures and text.
  • Free account for teachers.
  • Finished products may be exported to Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
  • Create your own audio to accompany your slideshow.

Constraints:

  • Email address required to create account.
  • Preview function is temperamental, difficult to view works in progress.

Classroom.4teachers.org is an online planning tool- for a learning space. Click and drop different common classroom furniture items to create a floor plan for your learning space.

Affordances:

  • Free, no account needed
  • Simple to use, for teachers and students (have students help create the space!).
  • Rotate, draw, add text to the blueprint.
  • Several common pieces of furniture already to use in the template.

Constraints:

  • Cannot save work (take a screen shot).
  • Changing the size of the furniture is not an edit option.

  • Consistant formatting throughout each feature (documents, presentations, etc.)

Constraints:

  • Email address required to create account.
  • Some editing tools have glitches or tricks.

  • Single log-in with WordPress account.
  • Ability to record voice and upload images for both the question and response sections.
  • Mobile App is available.
  • Multiple uses- accessing prior knowledge, receiving feedback, assessing knowledge

Constraints:

  • Students need account for use, not necessarily kid-friendly for creation.

Constraints:

  • Account needed to save work.
  • Finished product does not always play exactly as it was saved.
