Passion, Curiosity, and Creativity in Education

While you will read a lot about Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge on this blog, there is another aspect that helps make a teacher affective. Several people have witnessed the delivery of lessons that have the TPACK framework encompassed, but there was no spark or passion involved in the lesson or quite possibly in the classroom itself.

Teachers should use pieces of their lives that make them excited and inspire them to learn more, in their lessons. By creatively bringing this natural curiosity and passion to daily practices, it will help model for students the desire to attain more knowledge in a very prevalent manner. Below is a quick video expressing my take on the matter.

(Video was created in the iPad App “Explain Everything,” then exported to YouTube, where the themed music was added from their bank of creative commons instrumental music)
